Mihajlovic with the Chinese company CRBC: The value of joint infrastructure projects is more than 7 billion euros

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, prof. Zorana Mihajlovic, PhD, met today with Zhang Xiaoyuan, director of CRBC in Serbia, and talked with him about current and future projects that this Chinese company is implementing in Serbia.

Mihajlovic said that the reason for today's meeting was several important projects that are being implemented jointly and whose estimated value is more than 7 billion euros.

"Apart from the construction of the highway from Preljina to Pozega, which is in progress, the construction of Fruska Gora corridor, the preparation of project-technical documentation for the section from Pozega to Duga Poljana, as well as the construction of Belgrade-Nis and Nis-Preševo ​​high-speed railway lines are very important to us. "We have excellent cooperation with your company and successfully completed projects, and I believe that we will cooperate well on future tasks," she said.

Zhang Xiaoyuan expressed satisfaction with the new joint projects and goals and thanked Deputy Prime Minister and the team of the Ministry for their support so far.

"Despite the corona virus epidemic, we have all done a great job so far. We are glad that we will continue our cooperation on new projects which are important for Serbia. We are preparing documentation for the section of the highway from Pozega to Duga Poljana, we are ready for Fruska Gora corridor, but also for further talks when it comes to the reconstruction of the high-speed railway," he said.

The meeting was attended by the directors of "Infrastructure of Railways of Serbia" and "Highway Institute", the executive director of "Roads of Serbia", representatives of the Traffic Institute - CIP, as well as a representative of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China.
