Strategic and Legal Basis:

Strategy for the Development of Railway, Road, Water, Air and Intermodal Transport in the Republic of Serbia from 2008 to 2015, the National Strategy of Serbia for Accession to the European Union, the European Union documents and directives concerning the field of transport of the Law on Railways, Law on Safety in Railway Transport, Law on Interoperability.

 

Significance of the project:


A project of exceptional strategic importance, since it represents:


• Part of the basic traffic transversal of the Republic of Serbia and directly connects three of the five largest cities in the Republic of Serbia.
• Near half of the length of the Pan-European Corridor X b Unique European Rail Networks (TEN-T) on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
• Significant segment of the southern arm of the 21st Century Silk Road connecting the maritime-container center of the People's Republic of China to Piraeus and the Far East ports with the countries of South-eastern, Central and Eastern Europe.
• A significant section of the Unique European Railway Network (TEN-T) to Istanbul as a point of connection of the European and Asian network of the Asian-European Express Railway Line.
• The first trilateral project of cooperation between China and CIES (1 + 16) in the field of transport infrastructure that entered into the realization process.

 

Project status:

The reconstruction and modernization of Stara Pazova-Novi Sad section is divided into two components: Annex 3.1: Construction of a new tunnel Cortanovci (two single-track tunnels about 2 x 1.2 km long) and viaducts (about 3 km long) and Annex 3.2: Reconstruction and modernization of Stara Pazova-Novi Sad railway section (total length 36.2 km).

 

Construction works are in process:
TUNEL CORTANOVCI: Currently works are carried out both from the entrance and from the exit side to both tunnel pipes. By the end of December 2018, the excavation of phase I was carried out in the length of about 671.34 m, II phase in the length of about 423.73 m, and the III phase in the length of about 387.81 m.

 

Construction works that are in process:


TUNNEL CORTANOVCI: Currently works are carried out both from the entrance and from the exit side to both tunnel pipes. By the end of December 2018, the excavation of phase I was carried out in the length of about 671.34 m, II phase in the length of about 423.73 m, and the III phase in the length of about 387.81 m.


VIADUCT: Works on the construction of pillars for foundations of pillars and piles for construction, which represents the protection of pillars from the landslide, as well as works on the production of headwaters and pillars, are carried out. All 140 pylons were constructed, which represents the protection of the pillars from the landslide. The remaining 31 construction piles were left to be built on the four pillars.

 

Open railway line: About 11 km of railway line is laid and welding is currently underway. The works are performed at the station Indjija on the reconstruction of station tracks, overpass and transit facilities.

Project description:

 

The subject of Annex 3.1 is: Execution of works for Building no. 3.1 - Construction of viaducts in km 59 + 159.40 and tunnel Cortanovci on the section Stara Pazova - Novi Sad, consisting of: part of the building 3.1.1 Construction of viaducts in km 59 + 159.40 on the section Stara Pazova-Novi Sad and part of the building 3.1.2 Construction of the tunnel Cortanovci on the Stara Pazova-Novi Sad section and delivery of goods, ie Main projects for:

1. Reconstruction, modernization and construction of the two-track railway Belgrade-Stara Pazova-Novi Sad-Subotica-state border. Section: Stara Pazova-Novi Sad I phase tunnel and viaduct;

2. Reconstruction, modernization and construction of the two-track railway Belgrade-Stara Pazova-Novi Sad-Subotica-state border. Section: Stara Pazova-Novi Sad II phase (except viaduct in km 59 + 159.40 and tunnel).

 

The subject of Annex 3.2 is:


1. Reconstruction, modernization and construction of two-track Belgrade-Stara Pazova-Novi Sad-Subotica-state border, section: Stara Pazova-Novi Sad (length 40.44 km), without the following works: works on electrical infrastructure (contact network, security and telecommunications) for speeds up to 200 km / h, works on the construction of architectural-construction and accompanying facilities, electric power facilities, carrying out works on regulation of watercourses and arrangement of the lane. 

 

2. Delivery of the main project for reconstruction, modernization and construction - electro technical infrastructure for traffic speeds up to 200 km / h two-lane railway Belgrade-Stara Pazova-Novi Sad-Subotica-state border, section: Stara Pazova (exit) - Novi Sad (length 40.44 km).
