Group for control and cooperation in the field of Anti-corruption

Group for control and cooperation in the field of Anti-corruption was formed with the main task to review current work of the organizational units in the ministry,   with the purpose of analyzing, planning and implementing the fight against corruption and crime, as the foundation for sustaining the form of dishonest work and retaining the good reputation of the Ministry.

Group control and cooperation in the field of Anticorruption is independent in its work on collecting information and data on corruption and crime, the prosecution of information, data, facts and evidence, handing them out to the competent district prosecutor's office and other state bodies responsible for the prosecution.On these activities, Group for the control and cooperation in the field of Anti-corruption formally reports to the Minister, during the course of the legal treatment, and after the submission of the case to the competent prosecutor's office or other authority the Group reports in mandatory written form.

The main goal of the Group for control and cooperation in the field of Anticorruption is to reduce corruption and increase awareness in the domain of anti-corruption at the level of the developed European countries, throughout the following objectives:

 

  • Permanent elimination of the conditions for emergence and development of the corruption and crime;
  • Establishing a legal and institutional framework for preventing and repressing of corruption and crime;
  • Consistent establishment of criminal and moral responsibility for illegal acts;
  • Establishing a high ethical standards;
  • Efficient implementation of the established international standards in this area;
  • Preventing conflicts of interest in the public sector;
  • Legal and responsible implementation of decisions;
  • Increasing efficiency of the authorities responsible for law enforcement and supervisory institutions;
  • Reforming the State Administration with a goal of obtaining better professionalism and transparency;
  • Open and transparent procedures for planning and use of budget resources and the transparent control of their use;
  • Involving media in the fight against corruption and crime;
  • Stimulating citizens and employees to engage in the fight against corruption and crime;
  • Cooperating and raising public awareness of the rights and obligations of the state authorities, businesses, civil society and citizens towards corruption and crime;
  • Involving in regional and international fight against corruption and crime
