The significance of the project:
The project for the construction and reconstruction of public line transport infrastructure has been recognized as a project of special importance for the Republic of Serbia and will be implemented according to special procedures for linear infrastructure facilities of special significance for the Republic of Serbia.
Status of the project:
On March 19, 2024, a Commercial Agreement was signed for the phased construction and reconstruction of the internal traffic infrastructure and accompanying hydrotechnical, electrical energy, and telecommunications installations within the “Constantine the Great” Airport complex in Niš. On September 27, 2024, Annex 1 to the Commercial Agreement was signed for the phased construction and reconstruction of the internal traffic infrastructure and accompanying hydrotechnical, electrical energy, and telecommunications installations within the “Constantine the Great” Airport complex in Niš. Start of work: April 18, 2024 The project is 98% complete.

The total project value amounts to 18,539,567.08 euros.

The project is financed by funds from the budget of the Republic of Serbia.
Project description:
The project includes the construction of internal roads nearly 2,000 meters long and the development of 53,900 square meters of space within the airport complex, covering a total area of 80,000 square meters. The project provides for the construction of new parking areas with a capacity for 580 passenger vehicles. At the cargo customs terminal, 103 parking spaces for freight vehicles will be constructed. A locker and sanitary facility will be built at the cargo customs terminal to improve user services. A complete set of missing infrastructure necessary for the smooth operation of the increased facility capacity will also be constructed.
